WHERE TO SAVOUR TRUFFLES IN LONDON

We’ve always been suspicious of people who dislike truffles. How could someone not adore that unique flavour? It seriously beats us. Being truffle addict ourselves, we find it impossible not to order it when it’s on the menu. If you feel the same way (and happen to be in London), then we strongly recommend you check these spots out.

This enchanting little restaurant, located inside the no11 Cadogan Gardens Hotel, not only looks good but tastes good too. The truffle-tasting menu is to die for and includes extravagant delights, such as “Scottish Scallops, Pear & Mustard Compote, Winter Salad Leaves & Truffle”. If £65 per person for 6 courses is understandably out of your budget, head there for lunch and enjoy 3 courses & a ½ bottle of wine for £35. Now we’re talking.

This Italian truffle lounge, which has outlets in Milan and Rome, recently opened its London branch in Harrods. Every single dish on the menu can either be served with fresh black or white truffles (although the latter comes at a price). We are especially fond of the Cheese fondue with fresh truffle (£24) and of the Burrata with truffle honey and fresh truffle (£18). What we haven’t tried yet (but most certainly will) are their truffle cocktails (!), which includes the Tartufi & Friends Margarita (tequila, lime, white truffle salt).

The Truffle egg toast (£6) at Spuntino is truly orgasmic – we especially recommend it if melted cheese is your thing.

The Truffled Mac & Cheese (£11) at North Audley Cantine is totally worth the bloat. It’s creamy, cheesy and extremely tasty.
