There’s nothing more exciting than a good first date. Question is: where to take her? You want to make that perfect impression, without trying too hard. Here’s what you should do:

-A cooking class @ KitchenLab. Have you ever wanted to learn how to make kibbeh or sushi? We can assure you that any woman will appreciate watching you getting your hands dirty just to impress her.

-Painting and wine @ L’appartement on Wednesday nights. We know what you’re thinking, how clichéd. Well, put your ego aside; order a cheese plate & a glass of wine – and paint! This is how you get a girl to fall in love with you.

-Movies and sushi @ Empire Premiere Cinema in Sodeco. Fancy watching a film on a lazy-boy while sipping on your favourite cocktail and nibbling on some sushi from the Sushi Bar restaurant? We thought so –and so will she.

-@ L’humeur du Chef. Do you like surprises? This little eatery’s name literally translates as the chef’s mood, meaning we can’t guarantee you’ll have a great meal as it depends on whether the chef got laid or not. Jokes aside, this one’s got skills. The set menu changes daily and consists of a starter, a salad, a main and a dessert – (LBP 45.000/30$).

-Thursdays @ OUR TABLE. How does sharing a delicious meal with 20 strangers in an artistic space sound? You are invited to do so, every Thursday for LBP 50.000 (excluding drinks).

-@ Mótto. This spot has quite an unusual concept: the menu changes weekly and the bill is up to you. You get to choose what sum you think is fair. If you run out of things to talk about with your date, surely this would make a great topic.

BREAKFAST (there’s nothing more romantic than a breakfast date, as it shows the girl that you actually liker her and aren’t just trying to get in her pants)

@ The Albergo’s Rooftop. This Garden of Eden is one of the city’s most romantic spots to enjoy breakfast. Order the Lebanese Breakfast Combo (LBP 37.000/24$), with a glass of champagne. #RomanceHasNoPrice

Four Seasons If you’re looking for an impeccable breakfast, then head over here ASAP. Their unlimited buffet (LBP 58.000/38$ per person) is to die for and the waiters are at your beck and call.

Villa Clara This romantic spot will melt her heart. The food is also pretty incredible, so order away!

-Oysters and Bubbles @ Meat the Fish. This honestly sounds like the perfect date to us. Just do it, and thank us later.

-Wine and Pizza @ Bread Republic’s Wine Bar. Looking for a low-key vibe with a romantic kick? This spot will do the trick.

-Cocktails and high-end food @ La Centrale Head upstairs to the bar for a trendier experience, or grab a seat in the outdoor garden for a dreamy setting.

-Arak and Armenian @ Al MayassWhile you might leave feeling a little bloated, the remarkable food and charming atmosphere will set just the right mood.
