Dinner in Milan

For Milan Fashion Week, we’ve asked Diane Von Furstenberg’s London office to recommend their 3 favourite dinner spots in Italy’s style-capital. Here’s what they had to say.

Via Fiori Chiari, 10
20121 Milano, Italy

“Sooo good but not fashion”, said Account Executive Emanuelle Dicker of this traditional Milanese restaurant that serves homemade pasta and delicious delicacies. The menu includes tasty dishes like Maltagliati pasta with sea urchins perfumed with basil or Marrowbone in gremolada (chopped herbs mixed with garlic and lemon) served with a Milanese risotto. Main dishes are about 20-30 euros each –and are worth every penny.

Da Ilia
Via Lecco, 1
20124 Milano, Italy
+39 02 2952 1895

Before heading to Da Ilia, the DVF crew recommends that you get yourself a pre-dinner drink at the Sheraton Diana Majestic. Once you’ve gulped down your aperitif, you’ll be ready to indulge in fresh meat, pasta and fish (at around 18 euros a dish). How does a Yellow risotto with saffron sound? Or would you prefer tender beef tenderloin marinated in an exquisite herbal mix? Tough call…

Di Giacomo
Via Pasquale Sottocorno, 6
20129 Milano, Italy
+39 02 7602 3313

Everyone from the fashion industry apparently has dinner here. The trendy restaurant serves its guests an orgasmic slice of pizza as amuse-bouche, and that’s only just the beginning. Truffles (when in season), oysters and game are all on the menu. Do expect to splurge though, as dishes are priced between 50€ and 90€.
