Burata ice cream

3 Ice Cream Desserts from NYC on our To-Try List

Summer is right around the corner, which means that we’re just about ready for some refreshing ice cream. Whether you like it creamy, fruity or boozy we’ve selected the ones that we think are definitely worth the trip to NYC.

At Dominique Ansel Kitchen – where according to his website “time is an ingredient” – they’ve been impressing us with some crazy dishes (cf the cronut and the milk and cookie shot). But the one that really caught our attention is the creamy Burrata soft ice cream with balsamic caramel ($7).

Prosecco and ice pop cocktail

Sorbet and booze are one of our favourite combos. The Loopy Doopy Rooftop bar at the Conrad Hotel makes boozy ice pops served in a glass filled with prosecco ($22). Out of the 5 different flavours, we wouldn’t mind trying the Strawberry Rose Gin or the Pear Ginger Crush (with vodka).

Avocado ice cream on toast

This might be the most hipster dish of 2017. If you’re sick of avocado on toast, maybe you should try this more refreshing version from Morgenstern’s finest ice cream. Avocado ice cream is spread on toasted Japanese white bread, and topped with Spanish olive oil, condensed milk, sea salt and black pepper ($6.5). The sweet avocado ice cream must be quite confusing for the taste buds.
