5 ODD FOODS SPOTTED IN NYC’S CHINATOWN
While we do love good food, we’re also fascinated with weird food and if there’s one place that caters to adventurous eaters: it’s China[town]. Every time we walk around New York’s Chinatown, we always come across unique treats. This time around, it’s the dried ones that caught our attention. Here are 5 we’d like to share with you.
Dried Cucumber
It’s quite hard to imagine what a cucumber –which usually consists of 96% water– tastes like when dry.
Dried Mussels
We find this one particularly amusing, as we generally like our mussels drenched with cream.
Dried Scallops
Scallop sashimi is the new trend, but what about dried ones? It’s hard to tell, but it kind of looks like stale caramel candy.
Dried Oysters
Would you eat this with champagne as an aphrodisiac?
Candied Crab
What’s your favourite candy? Crab – said no one ever.
